I’m actually just shocked that teams made trades before the Reinhart and Buch deals. With how often this site references those, I just can’t possibly imagine a world in which we don’t have those as precedent. Like it must have just been pure chaos trying to value players without those magnificent comps to draw from.

Obviously Sammy Blais and round 2 for Buchnevich was a serious underpayment.
Especially considering how much the Rangers miss his scoring, what a bust Blais has been and the Rangers are $4,901,762 under the cap.
Less than the difference between Sammy's and Pavel's AVV.
I have no idea what Drury had in mind when he made that trade.
Pavel and Sam have certainly thrived in St. Louis (on their top line with Thomas and Tarasenko) and Florida respectively.
Reinhart on the other hand, did return a first, and an awesome GK prospects.
At first when I saw it was a first and a player picked in the seventh round, I was deeply disappointed.
After examining Levi's record, I was more than satisfied.
EDIT: Let me add, the Panther pick to the Sabres is currently 32nd, the Blues pick to the Rangers is currently 57th.
Levi projects to be a #1 GK, Blaise has 4 assists in 14 games before he was injured.
