Jets Decline
Dvorak isn’t a Dubois replacement and we don’t want or need Hoffman.
Only piece worth anything is the MTL 1st

Will heavily depend on what the plans are with Scheifele and Wheeler… I honestly don’t see Dubois staying if those 2 stay.
One or both have to be traded for the team to have any hope of advancement and any hope of keeping our other talent.

It Winnipeg and Chevy. I don’t know what the **** to expect. It’s like being married but to a hockey team, everyday is an unknown...

Montreal's 1st could be Shane Wright, Sorry i doubt Hughes trades that for Pierre-Luc Dubois.

That is awful for Winnipeg. You'll need to pay to dump Hoffman.

MTL would probably give their 2022 1st for Dubois, if it's not first overall. Winnipeg would have to take some salary back, probably Armia or Hoffman.

That would give Winnipeg a young top prospect on a entry level contract, and some cap space considering Dubois would sign for about 8M a year.

Considering Dubois is gonna sign an extension, somewhere about 8M a year, i think you're gonna have to take some salary back, anywhere you trade him.

Why should the Canes do that? I know this is starting to sound like a broken record, but there are so many cheaper and better 4th liner than Armia. Canes can’t afford to take him on, and besides, he sucks. He would just be sitting in the press box all season. Norlinder is interesting, but if isn’t enough to make the Canes take on Armia. No need for them to trade Gardiner since he is LTIRetired. Canes pass.

That makes zero sense. Why would the Jets have to take back salary to sign their own player to an eight year extension. Dubois isn't being traded and certainly not for an awful return like this.

If they did trade Dubois, they might take back salary, but they definitely wouldn't be taking a cap dump like Hoffman back. As already stated, it will cost assets to try and dump Hoffman as a negative value asset.

We're talking about trading Dubois. Why would Winnipeg extend him then? You make zero sense.

Also, you gotta realize most trade offers for Dubois will include a contract back, as the other team would need to clear cap space to add his 8M.

Now, if you absolutly don't want to take any money back when trading Dubois, it will lower his value. Because the other team will have to pay to clear cap.

You didn't read my entire post. As I said, if the Jets take back a contract, it won't be a negative value crap dump contract, it would be a useful, needed player.

Not taking back a contract doesn't lower Dubois' value at all. Montreal isn't the only team that would want him, Dubois' price would be whatever Winnipeg wants it to be and cap issues would be the acquiring teams problem, not Winnipeg's.

An offer this poor wouldn't get consideration at all as it is far too easily beaten by at least 20 teams.

I wonder which team would give more than a top 3 pick.
