There has been no newsflow on contract talks. That said, in this market we usually don't hear anything until there is something signed. If a leak is from Dreger it means it comes from the Jets, if it is from the other national insiders it means it comes from Brisson (Dubois' agent).

If you had actually bothered to read the article, you would see that Friedman is asking "what if he doesn't want to sign long term". Not Dubois saying he isn't sure if he wants to sign long-term.

He also said “I think the Jets would like to sign long-term but I don’t know how he feels about that,” and compared it to a marriage going sideways - “The word I got from somebody in the organization is there’s fatigue.”

Fair or not, when you’re dealing with a player who is doing this same song and dance for the second time in two years, this is going to be the “narrative” until pen goes to paper.
