  1. Fiala, Kevin [RFA Rights]

  1. Boeser, Brock [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
I figure Vancouver adds but I don't know or care what. Idea being that BB signs a more reasonable deal at home
2.
NYI
  1. Höglander, Nils
Additional Details:
Moving two guys who the coaches don't like. Draft pedigree tells me VAN might need to add a bit, but maybe not
3.
PHI
  1. Myers, Tyler
Additional Details:
This move screams PHI. Big dman who hits is exactly the kind of player they like. Get rid of a guy who won't play for you? Sure why not
4.
PIT
  1. Dickinson, Jason
Additional Details:
Dump with upside for both teams. I think this swap makes sense.

I get what you're trying to suggest with this, but I really don't think it's realistic

Wild don't have cap room for Boeser, and even if they did, they would tell you to add big time and rightfully so with the season Fiala has had compared to Boeser

Dickinson could bounce back next season, so I don't think the Canucks treat him as a cap dump after a single down season, Zucker on the other hand has been lackluster for multiple seasons so Pittsburgh would have to add at least a 2nd rounder for Vancouver to even consider. This would all be a moot point if Zucker doesn't want to play in Canada (he has a M-NTC, and his no-trade list might just consist of all 7 Canadian teams)

I think Ryan Ellis is damaged goods, I don't see the Canucks dumping Myers in this way, and while Philly certainly isn't above reproach on making such a move, I don't see them exchanging Ellis for Myers. If you're thinking of the Canucks potentially circumventing LTIR with Ellis's cap hit, I don't think it will work. LTIR is more complicated than that

According to Kings fans, Walker will cost at least a 2nd, but who knows if how much trade value he really has considering how long he's been injured and the uncertainty surrounding his health and performance level

No from Isles, despite Some struggles Wahlstrom has been quite good and Isles need him on RW, Isles are already set at LW. Only chance they move Wahlstrom would be for a young LD to fill in the top 4.

We would have zero interest in Boeser. Even if he signed for "less," we'd still have to clear a bunch of money to afford him. Unless you add significantly, I would much rather try to clear money to fit FIala under the cap than to fit Boeser.

I dont think Zero interest in Boeser is an accurate statement. If Zucc were to leave and open up some cap space to slide him in there on a 2x5 or something - I think the wild would be very interested.

I meant as our roster is currently constructed, we have zero interest. My point was that we currently have no room to re-sign Fiala and based on the contracts we can/would want to move, it would probably take the same amount of effort to get Boeser signed and be under the cap for the next 3 years. Personally, I'd much rather have Fiala in that scenario than Boeser.

But if you moved out $12M in Dumba and Zuccarello - he would more likely than not be an upgrade on Zucc in the coming years.

Without seeing what the returns on these other theoretical trades would be, I don't see how we aren't still losing a ton of value here. Like, we're still losing Fiala which is a massive loss. If we're also dumping Zucc, we're now down 2 guys over PPG this year and Dumba (which I'm actually fine with) in order to afford Boeser who has produced the same as Zucc but with 30 less assists. So we have to pray that he has good chemistry with Kaprizov and can replicate Zuccarello's production then we still need to figure out how to replace a PPG player (or get a massive haul of picks and prospects that I doubt we could get for Dumba and Zucc). Again, without seeing what the return is, I just don't see the upside here. I'd much rather just go through the effort to keep FIala than blow a massive hole in the team for Boeser.
