What about just a 5th instead of Raddysh and 7th?

Other than Marino the Pens don’t really have the assets to acquire Scheifele

Do you have any RHD or RW prospects?
Maybe Joel Blomqvist or a different goalie prospect?

Honestly I’m looking for a 2nd or 2 3rds to eat Zuckers cap hit. So while your proposed change makes it better I still don’t think it’s where it needs to be.

I think an agreeable trade between Chicago and Pittsburg regarding Zuckers cap hit has conditional picks based on what return (if any) he would fetch at the deadline for Chicago.

For example
Chicago Blackhawks
Zucker
2nd round pick in 2023 (conditional)
3rd round pick in 2024 (conditional)
Conditions: If Chicago trades Zucker for more than a 2nd round pick at the trade deadline then the hawks get the penguins third round pick in 2024. If the hawks don’t trade zucker OR trade him for less than a second round pick then Chicago gets PIT 2023 2nd round pick.

Pittsburgh Penguins
Depth forward (R Johnson or Entwistle)
Conditional pick (6th or 7th round pick) in either 2023 or 2024 to match the conditions of the trade.

I can't see anything in the Pittsburgh lineup or prospect pool that Winnipeg would want if they moved Scheifele, so it isn't very likely that the Jets look at a deal with the Pens.

Everybody is treating Zucker like hes a cap dump when hes not. We could easily just keep him

Yeah I didnt think it would work either. I was watching the blues game yesterday and he was quarterbacking the powerplay really well. What is he worth out of curiosity?

If he’s not a dump then why are you dumping him in this post?

Hawks are high on Raddysh. He played well down the stretch and they see him as a future piece in the rebuild. Penguins would probably need to include a decent prospect and/or pick for the Hawks to take on Zucker's money.

No, the Jets are not rebuilding they are retooling. They don’t want futures and prospects that won’t play for a while. They want players now. The tarde will be like a Dubois for Laine trade( a hockey trade) where it’s a good player for a good player.

If he stays healthy, at least the same as a 1st round level prospect. If he has a good playoff run, more than that.

Marino strength's the D core. We can throw in Malkin's UFA rights as well

He's better defensively than I expected, but still a little timid with the puck. If he builds up confidence to break out, he could be trouble for a long time.
