Absolutely not from Vancouver. You can keep your mid prospect and mid-picks. We are very happy keeping Podkolzin

You aren’t get either for this price. Cost will be a first for both because they are still valuable to our team. Hoglander was a second round pick and has outplayed pretty much everyone else drafted in the second round of his draft. Try you first round pick if you want a young ELC guy like Pods or Hoglander

Would a second and sixth work for him or are the sharks just not ready to give him away. I just really wanted some more prospects at RD for the preds.

He's 18 and one of our ONLY RHD prospects lol. He's definitely not for sale especially after the year he had last year.

Sharks are super stocked with LD prospects and bone dry on RD since Merkley made the jump.

The sharks org put all their chips in for Burns and Karlsson so didn't stock up on D prospects last couple drafts except for Laroque whom no one had heard of before he was picked. Now he had a great year and even played in the AHL for a few games. He's a hard hitting 2-way dman that we need to keep. Preds are always good at drafting dmen, they'll find someone this year.

Jets Accept
Though, personally, I’d like to keep Svechnikov, this deal makes sense from a WPG point of view

is it enough to sell you on Kunin if I tell you he's nice guy? Just because he really is. Good teammate just needs to get back to his game.

I would say he is looking like a Burns Clone. BIG strong fast and not the best defensively, but he is 18 and has all the skill to be a top 4 with a little better defensive play.
sharks absolutely should not trade him for anything under a 1st. even then I would balk. Merkley could probably had over Laroque at this point.

We'd keep Strome at 5.5 and not trade for Duchene.

There's a real chance multiple right wingers which opens up the top 6. To complete it you need a good RW to fill those spots, so why not Duchene?

Laroque would be a nice prospect to have, but like the SJ posters have said, the Sharks have no reason to move him. Even if NSH did get him, I don't see any reason to move Prokop. Even with Laroque, NSH could use more RD prospect depth. Especially not if it's just to overpay for Podkolzin (or Hoglander). Neither is impressive enough to give up that many assets for.

I can't see NYR paying that much for Duchene. Would be nice though.

The SEA proposal is reasonable. I see value there for both sides.

Personally, I don't see much in Svechnikov or Zacha. I'd rather just have picks and/or prospects.

I'd pass on the Strome signing. Love to have Marchement, but would hope for a smaller cap hit, and maybe a year less term.

I've really wanted the Jets to get a scrapper in the lineup to lay a beating on Kunin.

I thought there is a decent chance either Copp, Vatrano, or Rooney would leave, so why not another good RW with Duchene.

Salary mainly. And we can also just keep the guys we're trading for Duchene on here. We gotta keep cost controlled talent because of our cap situation.

Kravtsov wants out, but Blais could be replaced with like another 2nd. Would that work better for the Rangers?

Kravstov doesn't really have a choice in the end. JP with EDM is a good case study for how a situation like Kravstov's should be handled. He'll play for NYR next season and he'll make the roster out of camp. Ultimately I think they keep Kravstov and Blais because it cost no more than a little salary and NYR are up against the cap.
