Rielly was fine, 3 goals 3 assists in 7 games. What they do need to find though is a proper partner for him. Lybushkin worked but we need a true RD for him
See I thought this way too until we got Heiskanen.
hes been a sub .900 goalie since december. leafs cant win with that type of goaltending
I wouldnt put this lose on Campbell he played great and the Leafs hung him out to dry in Tampa and in most of their wins they won off his play.
Not a stat line worth reading. Vasi just the same - stat line didnt matter, he closed the door in Game 7.

Yep. Quick is also below 90 in this EDM series, but I don't think anyone can say he's been bad.
right. he went into the playoffs with two injured and under performing goalies and no plan b
Campbell wasnt hurt though till game 7 but it wasnt bad enough to where he couldn't play. Campbell's injury time line was somewhere between Late December or January and X-Rays discovered something in March.
Once he returned in April his numbers improved
And Kallgren did fine in his one relief role technically getting a shutout lul
Ask Avs fans how it feels when they had Grubauer and Francouz injured against Dallas in 2020. They know.
Their plan b was f*cking Hutchinson.
To add here, actually Dubas did adress the issue. He signed Olympic winner Harri Säteri. Granted he got claimed off waivers but regardless he did pretty much anything he could have done.
it's not bad luck when it's been that way since december, it's bad planning.
avs goalie injuries didnt happen until the playoffs had already started. so not really comparable
Campbell wasn't injured when the playoffs started. He had a rib injury he healed from but it obviously still took some toll on him. That's what injuries tend to do.
Ultimately blaming this on goaltending is stupid and a false narrative. That was not the reason they lost in this series.

campbell missed time earlier in the season with a rib injury and never looked good since december. and mrazek may as well have missed the season.
lol sub .900 goaltending will kill you in the playoffs. especially if you build your team forward heavy like the leafs.

Normally I'd agree with you but after watching all of the games I can't say goaltending was an issue for Leafs. Campbell took just about every save he could've.
And btw Vasy's sv percentage was below .89 so I suppose he was trash as well.
I don't think they belong in this discussion. Especially if Liljegren is below Holl in your depth chart, based on their latest lineup.
Holl was in mainly for the penalty killing. As Liligren still has work to do and I believe he got hurt in game 3 or something
But come next season a healthy Sandin-Liligren pairing is gonna be fun to watch
To me depending on how things go Niemela might play with Muzzin next season. As Niemela is a puck moving D and allows Brodie to play with Rielly once again
But that all depends on how he does out of training camp. Excited to watch him though as man can this kid play

yea he was. vasy needs to be better if he wants to make it out of round 2.
