Detroit declines. Muzzin declines to waive his NTC for Detroit.

Aging, body breaking down, contract. Plus we have Edvinsson, Johansson and Wallinder on the way at LD.

Muzzin isn't a fit in Detroit.

Right so the past month has been filled with trades to detroit of LHD as a stopgap. For example martinez, schmidt and others. Muzzin has 2 years left which works out perfectly, plus hes a leader which would be good for a very young defense in detroit. Imho i think its a very good fit.

Better fits are Martinez, Pettersson and Schmidt. Staal will likely be re-signed. Vet leadership check.

Pens decline. Pens won’t trade Marino unless it’s for a kings ransom.

I don't think it's the worst option but he wouldn't waive. He would be like plan G for LHD options for Detroit. Seems like he's declining more than other options than what might be available to us.

    Marino for Der-Arguchintsev, 1st

Players like Schmidt and Pettersson are much younger than Muzzin and are on contracts that are tradeable when they're no longer needed. With Muzzin there isn't even the possibility of a buyout.

I agree aging body but if this was the up coming season was the last of his current deal I might roll the dice for a 4th.

Ive seen a lot of trades of marino for WPGs 1st (14th) and i made a trade of marino for NYIs 1st (13th) and got good feedback so marino for 17 and SDA should get it done.

Nope. Pens have no reason to trade Marino so any trade will need to be a good return to get them to do it. A mid 1st doesn't move the needle, and SDA adds nothing to the deal.
