I like the idea of TB a coming to Toronto from Detroit but trading liljgren RFA rights makes no sense lol. He’s a stud man

Trading Liljegren is a mistake. Muzzin's not going to waive and I would be surprised if Lyubushkin and Mikheyev sign that cheap. No chance Campbell signs that cheap either, Paul will also get at least 3M if he doesn't re-sign with Tampa

Outside of possibly Liljegren Detroit has no use for any of those players. No thanks on Kerfoot or Abramov. needs to be a 1st and 2nd round pick if you want retention. Bertuzzi by himself gets a 1st round pick you want retention than you had better be ready to add another 1st round pick on top of it.

He's only got one year left on his deal, retaining 1.5M for one year wouldn't cost an extra 1st but the trade as is isn't really appealing for Wings. 2024 1st too far out, Lilly is nice piece but Wings already stacked with LD prospects, Kerfoot being of no real use, Abramov a meh prospect who offers nothing

Giving up far too much for the anti-vaxxer.

Leafs decline

Campbell is getting far more money than 3.5million. He's an all star and had two straight great playoffs.

Yzerman isn't dealing Bertuzzi without an extension in place, he'll look at capitalizing on him. Yzerman wants more for Bertuzzi then what he got for Mantha and Mantha had 4 years compared to Bertuzzi's 1 year. So he'll deal him to a team that will resign him long term and he can get the best offer and that's not Toronto.

Detroit doesn't move Bertuzzi for that and honestly it isn't what Toronto needs. I'm sorry but Bertuzzi doesn't get you past TB and giving up that much to get another big name player only weakens the rest of the team.

I don't think Bertuzzi leaves Detroit but if he moves him in division it will be for a massive overpay.

Yzerman would be better off offering Bertuzzi say $6,500,000 x 6 years with a Mod-NTC like a 16 team no trade list Mostly western teams. only see him staying in the east. Than he can get more for him should he deal him down the road.

Liljegren is a RD, and a good one, he could allow us to trade Hronek. You're right though, the offer isn't anywhere near enough.
