The Isles are not trading Barzal and LL is already to lock him up on a new contract to start after next year.

Just can't see it. Danforth is filler, Carlsson is the definition of a 7th D (75 GP over parts of 6 seasons? yikes!), and Nyquist is a fine player but is nothing more than an okay 2C. Getting back 2 1st rounders in a so-so draft class isn't going to be enough to even think about moving Barzal.

Start with the 2 1st round picks this year and go from there

personally, i don't even know if that would be a great package for the Isles. They've already got #13, giving them #6 & #22(i think?) in a weaker draft class is just going to give them a trio of good-not-great prospects that won't be ready for a while. If they're trading Barzal, I think Columbus has to take a big swing - put up an unprotected 2023 1st and give the Isles a shot at the bigger prize.

You are also absolutely not putting Chinny and Marchy on the 4th line. Either top-line minutes in CLE, or they are getting T6/9 minutes in the NHL.

I'd rather see them on the 3rd switched out with Tex and Boone. Tex had great chemistry with Sean last year, and Boone is Mr. Swiss-Army Knife.

Also, as well as Blankey looked during his 7 game try-out, I wouldn't give him a 2x1.5 contract and top-line minutes.

I’d be interested in Barzal who had a terrible season least year so his value is low, but it’s not that low. I’d also say the Toronto trade isn’t happening, they don’t want to move Brodie and we don’t want to move Gavrikov.
