Willy is the most realistic of the core to be traded. Not sure if MS is the best option for us.

Sorry "anywhere" doesn't solve the lingering cap issues that Mrzarek and Holl have on the club

That's a petty horrid trade for the Jets. The Jets have no need for either player at the cost of Scheifele.

Except Kawhi was drastically better than DeRozen offensively and defensively. Scheifele is probably better offensively, but he gives that advantage back twice over with his defensive play, and he's older. Maybe it's a hot take but I take Nylander all day.

Jets need RHW and they need solid bottom 6'ers that you can trust. Engvall is very underrated and Nylander would be a great fit with PLD and KC. I see Nylander as a little bit worse right handed Ehlers.

The Leafs just need a shakeup, and this would do it. Nylander is the easiest and most likely to be moved out of Matthews, Marner, Tavares, and Rielly.

I am a Jets fan and don't really know any potential trades to get rid of them. Holl you can probably get a late round pick for, and Mrazek would have to be packaged with a decent pick or be bought out.

I can't see the Jets going backwards and trading a center for a winger and having to start searching for a 2C again. Plus, if the Jets are trading Scheifele because of his me first attitude, why would they bring in a worse me first player?

Then you have that a soft, complimentary, contact avoiding, perimeter winger has nowhere near the value of a PPG 1C.

Engvall is basically another Lowry. The Jets need bottom sixers that can score. If that's all that it's available, just keep Scheifele.

Nylander is an RHW that we are looking for, and Engvall is a solid bottom 6'er that is reliable. I was thinking of adding Liljigren in the deal as well... Would that be closer?

Scheifele will be going to a contender, and there is no way that contender wants to give up a player of the same value. So it will have to be a bit worse player and something else, or just picks and prospects.

Leaf aren't trading the cost efficient Liljegren.....who should have playing instead of Holl in the latter half of the Tampa series. Leafs could very well trade Nylander but they do it to create cap space for other signings. Just don't think there is fit with the Jets.

Jets have countless bottom 6 LHW… last thing we need is more.
Nylander is not a main piece I’d be moving Scheifele for… not even close. He’s to soft for what we need.
Toronto and Winnipeg are not good trade partners right now.

Right. But there is no reason to the Jets to trade Scheifele for poor value or players that don't fit what they need.

Nylander while being a right wing is paid more than Scheifele now and has the same contract length but is nowhere near the same quality and has nowhere near the same impact on the game as Scheifele.

Then in two years when Nylander's contract is up, the Jets are stuck overpaying him on a new contract or having to move him.

Dollar for dollar, Nylander doesn't have anywhere close to the effect on a game that Scheifele does. All the problems that Scheifele has, Nylander has. So what's the point.

I don't know about anyone else, but the Kawhi comments make me think of Matthews, Tavares and Marner. Those 3 are the only ones that net you the return in cap space or multiple players that the Leafs need to be better balanced and a much better playoff team.
