players I would like Columbus to get

Description
hopefully jackets could get one of jiricek/savoie, dream of both, pick some combination of forward and defenseman in this upcoming draft, hopefully at least Savoie falls to 6

Cirelli is an amazing 2 way player that is slightly buried in Tampa's system. Include the 2nd because he's still an RFA. Would ideally trade Bean, but feel like it will have to be Boqvist instead of Bean to get this deal done. Jackets are already filled with offensive heavy D anyway. Would hate to depart with Texier, but the winger system is clogged and he has value.

Columbus needs defense bad. An established depth D in Bogo and a big established Right D in Manson is something they don't have either of, closest being Peeke as he is developing that role still, seemingly being Savard's replacement.

Only problem will be if these FAs actually want to stay&sign here.

Definitely makes them a playoff contender. I’m kind of at the point where I want to just wait and see how guys pan out and leave the window open as long as possible once it opens. I could also see the jackets being stacked everywhere but needing a 1C or 2C as the final piece and not being able to get one.

I wouldn’t mind switching out Boqvist for bean or another piece like corson

Columbus should just stay the course and keep building from within, Texier looks pretty good, they should keep him.

i'd part with 12 not 6. and in that case we'd get a 4th or 5th back

I would hope so but they've been doing that since Jarmo's been here in 2013 and the only time they won a round was when they were aggressive and went out and bought players. Jones, Bob, Panarin, Duchene. All 4 of their most important pieces in 2019 all acquired by trade at some point in time

True, no team is built solely through the draft.

If Tampa was selling (which they aren't) then 12OA plus a later round pick being sent back to CBJ would be a fair price.

after wright my top 4 remaining players is Nemec Jiricek Savoie Cooley (not in any order). If they're all gone by 6 I wouldn't mind that, then Jackets take some defenseman at 12. If not, hold off for one of them

If you think they can keep him for an extension, who do you think they'll have to part with by the time his contract is up? After next season, Tampa will have ~28.5 mill (excluding if keeping Paul, Palat, other depth) I'd say that'd cut it down to somewhere around 22 mill to sign Cirelli, Killorn, Colton, Sergy, Cernak, Foote (other depth). Surely at least 2 of those names will have to go?
Still going for a 3peat it was worth it, but just speculating ahead with a pretty empty prospect pool and cap crunch, what are your thoughts?

Me and my fellow Lightning CapFriendly users have recently become convinced that if we're still competitive and Hedman and McDonagh aren't showing signs of slowing down, then Sergachev is the likely sacrificial lamb.

I wouldn't say our prospect pool is is empty just yet either. If Colton's next contract doesn't work for us, I'm fairly confident Koepke has a middle six NHL future. Barre-Boulet is still hanging around too, but I think it's make or break for him next year. On defense, Thompson is our best prospect of all is probably more of a question of when and not if. And Perbix has potential too.

Here's my most recent 2023-24 ACGM

Scrap Bemstrom, can live with the rest. Bemstrom is a waste of a roster spot.
