That is a very interesting offer. NJ loses a bottom pair defenceman and a bottom 6 winger with the 2OA pick, but gain a big winger for Hughes, a really good LD to play behind Graves, and two firsts.

These Habs AGMs never cease to amaze.
Devils already have an LHD to play with Hamilton his name is JONAS FRIKKIN SIEGENTHALER omg.
Not trading Siegs and #2 for an overpaid winger to play on the Devils 3rd line, a pylon in Edmundsson and two late 1sts.

Siegenthaler isn't bottom pair, he's developed into an elite defensive defenceman.
He's part of their longterm core and not being traded anytime soon.
Johnsson is arguably just as good as Anderson, who doesn't fill a need for the Devils anyway.
Edmundsson is not better than any of Siegenthaler, Graves or Smith.
