I've always thought Petry is worth a late 1st or an equal prospect. People on here have often thought that I am over valuing him but Hughes will not trade Petry unless he gets value in return. I know I'm bias but his play really turned around once MSL was hired and showed that he is still a very good top 4 d man in the league. I can see the habs moving him after his bonus for this year is paid.

I can also see a young roster player and a late pick.

Maybe we can use him to go up in the draft as well! Cutter Gauthier would be a good fit for us

If Letang doesnt sign with Pittsburgh, you have a 3 year window after signing Rust with a need at RHD. The next one available is Justin Schultz in free agency or you go the trade route which leaves Dumba, Petry, nada

Petry value will be at least a 1st rounder in that hypothetical that looks quite likely

And I don’t think Letang will go anywhere except Pittsburg or Montreal

I didnt see a single Habs fan say Lekhonen would take home a 1st (Barron) and a 2nd rounder.

The problem is DucharmeDominator, that guy was asking Toffoli vs Pelletier + 1st + 2nd RD pick
Chiarot vs 1st + decent prospect + another pick
Lehkonen + 3rd RD pick vs Lunqvist + Kravtsov + 1st RD pick
Every trade that guy made were lopsided towards MTL
But it’s one guy
