TOR
  1. Doughty, Drew
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (LAK)
LAK
  1. Muzzin, Jake
  2. Tavares, John
Additional Details:
LA was among the teams wanting Tavares. Both teams contenders next year. Supposing Doughty accepts the move back home. Fair? Yes.
2.
VAN
  1. Kerfoot, Alexander
  2. Robertson, Nicholas
  3. Sandin, Rasmus [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Every AGM asks for an overpay here. Don't care. Accumulating good young players for a rental makes sense.

Too much cap going to LA. I can't imagine any of three players waiving. Oh, by the way Doughty is home....and it's the Pacific Coast.

If Kopitar got traded maybe Doughty for Tavares makes more sense. But as of now it isnt something the Kings need to do. Also muzzin needs to be taken out of the deal. He isnt coming back to LA unless they are paid prospects as incentive to take him.

Why would LA have any interest in John Tavares? They already have Kopitar, Danault and Byfield down the middle. Doughty doesn't waive for Toronto and Tavares doesn't waive for LA

After Hughes, Hischier, Bratt and Mercer…Sharangovich is probably least likely Devil to be moved.

Not enough and heres why,
The Canucks know that they can get the value of a long term contract trade if they trade miller and wont settle for a deal in which they get the value of a rental. My one critique with your deal is that you see that he will be a rental and will then be too expensive to extend and although that might be right for a leafs trade, it wont be the case for a devils or canes trade.

Second of all, we don't really need a Sandin, we need a Liljegren

Bold, not a need though. Get an interior forward and goalie first before adding any Nylanders or Fialas.

A move like this does not mean an upgrade to goaltender isn't coming.

Doughty for Tavares 1-for-1 would be "fair." However, neither player would accept that trade, and I highly doubt the Kings would consider trading their franchise defenseman just when they're ready to compete again.

Take out the 2nd and Muzzin, it obscures the point and value of the trade.

muz will be moved if he waives his ntc, also if you trade him for miller you only have him for one year. also sandin could play the right and you can have brodie liljegren sandin and holl be traded. the leafs need bottom 6 forwards. miller isnt a need, if the leafs were to get someone like miller it would be at the deadline or FA

Canucks don’t need Sandin, Canucks don’t need Kerfoot, Canucks don’t need Robertson. Literally zero reason to make this trade

A swap from one top-6 winger to another top-6 winger (that is less differentiating) doesn’t move the ball forward though. And we give up cap space and another good asset. It’s like one step forward, two steps back.

Get the goalie, get the net front guy.

(And never pay full price for wings).

Again, a move like this does not mean those would not be in the works. There’s plenty of room for it. Especially if it’s as good of a deal as this one.

I'm rather torn here.
Nylander is clearly the better player but only having him for 2 more years is concerning.
Sharangovich still has room to develop further and could be around for a very long time.

Nylander’s Term is actually what I like here. Yeezy has one year left,, but if he scores as many goals again he’s going to easily want as much as Nylander would make, and that may even be a bridge deal which would put him up for another huge raise.

If this is the cost for Nylander though, you almost need to do it
