Really? I think that is a hell of an offer from Detroit. Probably an overpayment IMO.

Cat is one of the league's best scoring wingers in his prime (24 years old). Wallinder and the 8OA pick are very good pieces. But Cat is worth much more. Chicago doesn't have to trade him. Besides I don't want to trade Wallinder or the 8OA pick. Now is not the time for Detroit to make such a move.

He wasn't that bad on the jackets this year but he's not close to 2C on a cup winning team lol. Guess the Hurricanes wasted him too when he had 2g 5a in 19 regular season games with them. He has had one good season in his career through the 2c lens
