Kulak was defensively pretty bad last year. Certainly before the trade.

Ducks would ask for me for Gibson

Kulak was sick on the Habs even under Ducharme. Just because the team was a tire fire doesnt mean every player in it was

Really? Seemed like people were pretty down on him during the season. And his defensive WAR was quite bad.

95th percentile for 5v5 defence. 0.4 WAR instead of 0.6 in 2020 - 2021

0.4 is 95% percentile? One of those numbers must be off.

Over the 3 year period its 95th percentile. Defensive war is very hard to gain

Devils shouldn't touch Gibson with a ten-foot pole.
Dude looks finished as a starter in the NHL, just the hype still carrying over from when he was one of the best goalies in the world.
But that was a long time ago.

I approve of Palat and Kulak however, would be great signings for this team.

I agree and see him as a cory schnidier situation. However its possible a change to scenery and a lighter load helps him resurge. If Ana takes some solid prospects and a pick id say why not.. signed crawford he retired, signed jb he got hurt at this point its better then who we have.

Nowhere near enough for Gibby. Ducks don’t need to move him. If that’s what a team thinks he’s worth they’ll be plugging their net with someone else

Yea but why trade for one of the worst starters in the league when Allen, Vanecek, Talbot and Reimer should all be available for the package you presented for Gibson here (which Ducks wouldn’t deem acceptable for Gibson anyway)?
Or try for one of Husso, Kuemper or Cambell in FA?
None of these guys would come with as bad a contract as Gibson would either.

Kulak on just the Habs was 15th in the league for EVD WAR. 10th for the whole season.

If this is the trade for Gibson, this is fine.

I mean you can slot in any of them i don't think any of them are the answer and NJ ends up signing a brand new Tender next offseason. At least this way using one of those goalies
(Husso isn't it, Kuemper and campbell personally i think is staying) when blackwood gets traded or hurt, one of them will happen, we aren't left throwing away our season like this past year. Gibson had a solid season with a ****ty team in front and once they blew his team up they had no chance anyway. I think Ducks take this trade they hold on to Stolaz aster starter and go full on rebuild, Add Ty smith if needed
