Pittsburgh needs to add a mid-round pick

Canucks need to retain 1.5-2M of OEL's salary for the Bruins to even consider that, and they'd likely need to send a defender back to make room for OEL

Rangers don't do that trade either

Take Fiala and Pearson out of the trade and add Dumba.

Minnesota passes, If they can't afford Fiala than they can't afford Boeser.

Pittsburgh needs to add a mid pick to the deal.

After just trading and signing Hampus Lindholm the Bruins can't afford to add Oliver Ekman-Larsson especially not without retaining a million or two.

Rangers pass, they're not giving up Schneider for a one year rental.

So Minnesota downgrades from both players and still needs to clear cap? Why would they ever do this?

And why is Arizona paying for Ferly and Poolmanand paying that much?

Pearson isn't necessarily a downgrade on Greenway

He isn't an upgrade. He's older, signed for shorter term and has a higher cap hit.

That's before we get to the huge gap in value from Fiala to Boeser.

The gap between Boeser and Fiala isn't as big as Wild fans think. Boeser had a down year while Fiala had a career year

Your rangers trade isn’t unfair for either team, however I do not see the Rangers moving Brendan Schneider. He has as much potential as Bo Byram and has played at the same level in my opinion so far in his career.

I think the deal could work with Lundqvkist instead, albeit less desirable for VAN.

The Minnesota deal, regardless of it being fair or equal value, makes absolutely zero sense for the Wild.

They’re not moving Fiala for another guy they can’t pay. He will absolutely be traded. But it’ll be for picks and prospects only. Also, I believe they really like Greenway, and rightfully so; I don’t think they’re in a hurry to move him in any deal that doesn’t greatly improve their team and/or save them money. This deal accomplishes nothing close to that.

1. Not it isn’t.
2. I’m petty.

Yes, you are being petty, I don't need you to boss me around, that's all you do on this site, you go around bossing other users. You deliberately try to rattle their cages for whatever reason

Minnesota declines this easily. We aren't trading fiala for boeser..we certainly aren't trading greenway, nor taking on Tanner Pearson

if this was last year before ufa. bruins might have considered this. they just got lindholm though. no room for OEL. just a waste of cap space.

Yes he is. Greenway was given a 3 years extension because he's a force on 3rd line with ek and foligno. Pearson would be a cap dump. Nor do we want boeser

I’m not the one saying a guy with 36 less points is close to Fiala. Boeser’s QO is a nightmare for what he provided last year, especially for a cap strapped team.

Fiala has outproduced 2 out of the last 3 seasons and has been anywhere from slightly* less efficient to mind blowingly more efficient with less stable and less talented lines over that time.

I mean, for God's sake, Fiala has scored a comparable amount (within 1 goal) of 5v5 goals over the last 3 seasons to guys like Mackinnon, Matthew Tkachuk & William Nylander while Boeser (another noted sniper) has been outscored by guys like Danault, Bonino & Donato

Boeser had a down season for understandable reasons, but if you don't want to do your research, that's on you. Everyone knows Boeser is a better offensive talent than the likes of Danault, Bonino, and Donato. I was never denying that Fiala is better than Boeser, but you're still undervaluing Boeser

Vancouver isn't cap strapped in case you didn't bother to check, and he will most likely bounce back next year. Maybe he won't be full value for his QO, but the team will be able to manage fitting it under their cap

Pearson is NOT a cap dump, and Greenway being given a 3 year extension doesn't make him one, the two factors are both completely irrelevant to one another, I don't know why on Earth you bother making that comparison
