Nico Hischier is 23, put up 60 points in 70 GP last year (would've led Montreal in points per game and been a single point behind Nick Suzuki for overall points), is signed to an arguably team-friendly 5x$7.25M, and is the Devils' captain. Trading him just to move up from #2 to #1 would be silly for Jersey - there's just not enough difference in projections for the top handful of guys in the draft this year to justify that kind of overpay.

I think you should lighten up on them a little, it is literally their 2nd post. They (just like every other person on here when they started) over valued their favorite teams players. We all know these are bad trades (well most of us anyway) but new people to the site should be coached rather than just embarrassed and ridiculed.

Maybe it`s me being Biased, I just don`t like Nico as a player. He doesn`t wow me. I`m not expecting him to be McDavid but there is something I don`t like (could be his consistency) I may have over-reacted but that is how I feel about him as a player.
