DeAngelo >> Barrie. Pulju is just a worse Necas

That's WAY too much for a rental Miller.

HORRIBLE overpay for Zadorov. Cole is cheaper, a better skater, and half the price

It would only be too much if it was Morrow instead of Bear. That's a generous offer, it ain't the Canucks problem if you aren't going to re-sign him

I mean indirectly it kind of is. Teams aren’t going to trade for Miller without an extension agreed to - at least not at the highest value he could fetch. If no extension is part of the deal than the value will obviously be less than if there was one.

For this trade specifically - and as has probably been said on here hundreds of times at this point - Miller to CAR just doesn’t make sense bc they won’t be willing to extend him for what he’s looking for and because of that they won’t spend a ton of assets on him as a rental. The situation and teams involved just don’t make sense for a deal to be made.

I’ll bet. Makes zero sense for CAR and has a zero chance of happening

The KEY word is indirectly. I will assume that Carolina isn't calling Vancouver about Miller until after they strike out against Gaudreau, Forsberg, Debrincat, and even Pastrnak if he's available

Yeah but if they do call and they can’t reach an extension with Miller the trade never goes through either way. So in the end it does become VAN problem.

The trade isn’t made - so it’s VAN problem. How is it millers? He’s going to UFA worst case or extending if he likes the situation presented to him

Necas for a rental is an overpay. Thinking otherwise shows your bias.

The answer should be no. Especially if Teuvo was a rental. Miller is a rental. It's just good asset management.

Well yeah, of course not for a rental, but Teuvo has two years remaining

Miller is a rental. Why would Carolina trade Necas for a rental in the same position?

Necas is much superior to Podkolzin... they're comparable situations.

Lol, Podkolzin has 1 year of NHl experience, while Necas has 3 tears of joy tears of joy Good apples to apples comparison

Look at Necas' rookie year (that was shortened to the Pandemic). Necas put up 36 points in 68 games. Podkolzin barely hit 20 in 79 this year. That's an apples to apples comparison.

Comparing rookie seasons is not a perfect science to being able to project a players development, nor is it an accurate reflection of the difference in players ceilings. Somebody sounds biased

You're right, but as of right now, that's the best indicator we have. So until Podkolzin proves he's got even close to the level of potential Necas has, Necas is the far superior player. If you want to argue that, it's your bias kiddo.
