No reason for them to give up on Comtois & “sell low” like that

That trade is the least of the issues here. Icing a team that would struggle to win in the AHL is a much bigger problem.

Bjork is 26 and has recorded almost exactly 0.25 ppg in a career of 211 games. Comtois turns 24 in the middle of this coming season and has scored 0.45 ppg in a career of 146 games. He's also taller and weighs 25 pounds more than Bjork, hits a lot more, and has more snarl -- he had more penalty minutes last year (abbreviated by injury) than Bjork has in his entire career.
