We'll tag up to a 3rd to ship off Labanc, a 2nd is just a tad too steep.

I don’t think MN would go for those prospect. This is a very good offer though. We’ve got Jesper at Goalie and a ton of LHD prospects already. So Portillo and Johnson don’t really help us much. Mittelstadt and a pick for Dumba would get it done I bet.

Bear won’t get a qualifying offer teams will Just wait. It’s not worth giving up Olofsson.

He probably won’t but seems like he’ll be traded before that happens. He’s talking to teams now so probably gets shipped off for a pick.

Part of me agrees with you all, but if we really want to compete for the playoffs next year we need cap space and Labanc is the ideal candidate to move!
In a normal time where the cap moves up 2+ mil a year instead of up 1 mil the last 3 years combined, a 3rd or 4th would be fair to take on the deal and the risk, but lots of teams will be looking to shed cap and very few teams will be looking to take on cap dumps. So if we really want to compete and sign some players were going to have to pony up big to move Labanc.

I’d rather trade a 2nd or two 2nds for a player than move a 2nd to dump a guy that doesn’t need to be moved. Would love San Jose to make a Toews/Buchnevich trade
