Anderson is a bigger cap dump than Barrie lol. Barrie had 9 more points than Anderson last year. Anderson isn’t even a .5 ppg player at this point. People glorifying Anderson bc of one or two good seasons lol

Calling Barrie a cap dump in a trade involving Anderson is a bit rich.

One of them is a forward, one of them costs $1M more and one of them has never beaten the other in points throughout all seasons they've played in NHL

They are glorifying him because its reality. Either you haven't heard or you just live in an echo chamber, probably the latter.
Seravalli and Lebrun both reporting the HUGE interest, to deny that is delusion

Barrie isnt worth a 2nd so thats a bit extra for Josh with Holloway. Anderson with all the talk and Holland being Holland. This would probably be close to the price but i dont think Anderson waives with his NTC. He wants to stay in Montreal. Edmonton seems very unlikely

Don't want Bourque, Habs are a out to have Wright. 18th overall will do for Petry though

Lol teams are interested in him bc he can score goals and everyone likes that but bc teams are interested doesn’t mean they are going to overpay for a guy that is scoring at a .5ppg pace. Barrie isn’t a cap dump was my point. Anderson is the worse player out of the 2. Just a really stupid comment. One player is clearly outperforming the other. Lol

Still a pass from Dallas, shouldn’t trade their 1st for Petry.

Putting lol at the beginning and end of a comment pretty much shows your maturity level.

As I said it's been reported. The return has been reported. Can you read?

Petry is 34 signed to a no too capfriendly contract. I would maybe give a 2nd if I was desperate but with Letang and Klingberg available I wouldn’t even consider him. Might try Barrie over him or PK. Why give up assets for a diminishing return

By “cap dump” it was meant to offset 2 years on JA contract. Didn’t think that would offend lol

Klingberg will probably cost 7 million, if the dman isn’t under 5 million Stars shouldn’t go after it (not counting unavailable dman, aka the good ones). For an example Petry costs 6.25 million, wouldn’t trade a 1st for that. Would rather go after a guy like Murphy or Marino instead, it’ll cost more, but it’d be a lot more worth it.

i love how tyson barrie has had more points than Josh Anderson every single year they've been in the league, and yet one is a cap dump and the other is not

Thought my values(compared to 95% of the other ones I’ve read) weren’t to bad. Considering the Habs don’t need to trade either of those guys

Klingberg wont sign for 3 years and 7 million is the floor. Klingberg contract will look more like 7x7 which is 10 worse than Petry's deal.
Petry is also far superior to everyone mentioned outside Letang who is re-signing in Pittsburgh according to reports. Murphy doesnt have his offense, Marino struggled last season. I'd argue you're getting Petry at a discount of a 1st rounder in a bad draft if thats even his price, it should be much higher.

Petry had a bad start at the beginning of the year and finished with 21 pts in 30 games under MSL. He's a difference maker even at 34 much like Letang is a difference maker at 35. Age doesnt matter for Letang and it hadnt mattered for Petry as his trajectory is peaking with 4 straight seasons above 40 points in his 30's

When a team “cap dumps” it doesn’t normally involve gaining the better player.

Like hey I’ll trade you Mantha and I’ll take Nylander back as a cap dump. Lol just worded poorly. Cap dump has a negative undertone to it. Like getting Barrie for Anderson would be a massive win for Habs. Not a cap dump

Not mad just was supporting my claim that Anderson is universally glorified. “Reports” / claiming teams are interested in him doesn’t really change the original statement that a guy scoring at below .5ppg pace since 2019 that is also SIGNED TO A MASSIVE $$$ deal is highly glorified / overrated.

Not really. You used terrible wording like “cap dump” while obtaining the better player. Would be easier to just edit the post or just delete and make a new one. Lol

You will always get more hate as it's easier to be toxic than pleasant online. Ppl take different opinions as personal attacks or even ACGMs as personal attacks. A lot of misfits online, just go outside, it will be better, trust me. This place hasnt changed in years but you'd think a free site with the owners willing to keep it clean without making much profit would lend itself to being a community. Instead it's mostly bias and tribalism here. Every ACGM you post you have 31 enemy teams fans that want your team to be worse. 31-1, that is what happens. Most that are reasonable dont want to defend as it's a needless headache but many toxic ppl can easily respond as it's annoymous and they can be different than they are in real life without feeling like a bad person.

What about Miller? Didn’t he have really solid numbers before becoming a Sabre? Maybe I’m thinking of someone else.

It’s not normal to call people dumb because you don’t agree with them.
Insiders a lot smarter than us are “over evaluating”JA and that’s there jobs
