Description
I know chevy would never make more then 2 trades but I think these moves help build the future and give us a strong prospect pool. We'd suck for a couple of years but after that if we hit on our picks we should be good.

Wow. What a terrible rebuild this would be.

Got to imagine it's more for PLD no? The NYR package is better and PLD is the better player. I do wonder if this is middle ground though. Maybe it's better to go full rebuild and trade everyone. I'm not a Connor guy but I imagine he would get a ton back. I am a big time Ehlers guy, but I don't know what his return would be.

Not saying the trade is THAT lopsided, Habs readily accept without hesitation and block your number before you can change your mind. All of those assets are expendable for the Habs imo anyway.

To be fair though, I don’t think that’s too far off from what PLD will actually get, he won’t get the crazy return most people expect. Dvorak is prob worth like a late first at best, the 2022 Habs 2nd is basically a late first and Mysak, while he had an underwhelming season, was a projected first round pick in his draft year so he’s def a decent gamble I guess

I agree, i still think habs aren't interested in PLD but that's a more realistic trade value wise

Of all the big jets guys Connor and Ehlers are the only 2 that seem to want to stay in winnipeg. The others big guys like wheeler, dubois, schiefle, helly are all open to trades out.

Nate Schmidt is 31 years old and signed for three more seasons at $5.95 million per. We can do a lot better on the open market for a depth defenseman, and he does come close to our conditions of a 25-or-under top-quality defenseman with term as our primary target this off-season. I'd much rather trade away some of our prime draft picks and youngsters for Jakob Chychrun, for example, who's much cheaper.

There's simply no reason for the Jets to sell low on all those players.
