Kadri Miller and Grans

Created by: Angusc
Team: 2022-23 Washington Capitals
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 19, 2022
Published: Jun. 28, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Kadri is signed only If Backstrom goes to LTIR

Mantha is traded since one area LA needs a top winger. Anyone of their RD would be traded since LA has more than enough. Also, Bear would be acquired to hopefully get their D younger from trading Jensen.

Miller trade is the same as I've seen in most threads. Return is based on how much the Canucks would retain.

3rd enough for Bear generally but I’d imagine they try to move him out of division for a different third

What the hell is that Mantha trade? He's amazing. You can get a lot more than that.

Zero chance Jensen is traded unless he is part of a package for a Chychrun type player or gets a first, I am 100% serious. Can't imagine they leave ~7.5m in empty space and Hagelin IR and especially if they trade Mantha spend that on a forward. Would also expect Eller to be gone so McMichael can play 3c

Why do so many non-Caps fans make ACGMs where they assume he’s a negative value cap dump? It’s bizarre how often this happens.

He would've been the Canucks best defenseman this year lol

Jensen definitely has value. So if the Caps are trading him in order to make another deal for a defenseman or to sign someone, they get back much more than what you have there, in my opinion. They got a pair of seconds for Brendan Dillon last offseason and Jensen makes less, but is better. Though he only has one year left vs. Dillon who had three.

it's one of the most mentioned trades in most of the Caps and Canucks thread's I've seen with most users agreeing to that trade
