Pens gladly accept as long as Letang stays and Miller is agreeable to an extension. If Letang moves on, we just can't move Marino as that would leave us with Ruhwedel as our #1 RD.

Good one the difference is that we needed the player since our D sucked and still sucks unless we get rid of zaitsev. Ottawa is looking for a top 4 RD and would gladly trade for a player like Marino. and if you want to make a trade with Ottawa they're looking for players like boeser and garland for our second line which somehow is on your first line... yikes.

sry you get the short end of the stick bud but Ott fans at least the big majority keep telling you Canucks fans that Pearson is not an option for Ott its the same with oilers fans trying to trade Kassian to OTT constantly. if you asked or did a bit of research you would know the needs of other teams instead of only looking at your team. NJ, SEA, LAK, OTT, NYR are all buyers meaning they're shopping for either big names or important pieces. MTL, VAN, VGK, WPG, CHI, ARI, BOS are all sellers looking for a return either rebuilding or over the cap. the rest of the teams can be both some looking for specific pieces like TOR needs a goalie but also need to move some depth. So why not trade Pearson to Toronto they'll need some depth after trading away Mikheyev or kerfoot since Toronto can't plug their holes with prospects. OTT can trade brown away but he can be replaced easily the problem is that they have to many 3rd line players who are good but not good enough to play with Stutzle so unless Pearson is going to score 30+ goals he isn't the one for OTT.

At half retention, I'd give this very strong consideration, myself. RD could indeed use a little shoring up.

That said, it'd probably be my second or third choice w/r/t addressing this problem.
