The alternative trade with Dallas would be Antonio Stranges and a high pick (1st round likely). Hughes will be getting good value for Petry no doubt.

Why is that lol? What more are you going to get for Gauthier who they are reportedly trying to get “anything” for, and a goaltender that was quite frankly terrible last year. Allen is an established backup and did very well last season considering the circumstances. Could thrive in an actual backup role.

Cool. Dallas will go trade for a slightly worse Barrie then. Will cost less to trade & less against the cap. Not trading a 1st or any of Bourque, Johnston, or Stankoven for Petry. If Dallas were dedicated to overpaying for a RD until they’re 37, they’d be better off shelling out the extra $1M to re-sign Klingberg.

Oh, another highway robbery of the Islanders for Josh Anderson trade proposal that will never ever happen.

Neat

Habs arent trading Josh unless it's an insane overpay. 13th OA wont move the needle. They'd need to overpay to find another Josh Anderson. Teams are planning to draft 5 goal scorer Slafkovsky just cause of his size and grit.

Pass.

The first proposal I've seen involving Drouin which actually has realistic value. Well done.

That said, I still don't think the Avs have any interest in Drouin. They clearly value good two-way forwards in the top 9, and Drouin is decidedly not that. There are better ways to spend those picks and $3m.
