LOL look what the Wild just got for Fiala. Miller is on an expiring deal, his value was much higher a year ago. Here they're getting a young established goal scorer who they have full control over (2 more years then RFA) , and RD prospect which they don't have a lot of in their system, and a middle tier draft pick. The time to trade JT Miller was last year and the canucks missed the boat, price changes accordingly

Is he? Similar production over the last 2 seasons. Fiala has more goals. I do agree I'd rather have Miller but its much closer than you think

Miller had more points this year, and plays Center which adds value to him, he also plays on the pk and is a powerfoward you are also getting 1 year extremely cheap of Miller without a doubt Miller has tons more value than Fiala

I agree he does have more value, thats why you're getting a higher price than the Wild got. Would you rather have 2 futures which you dont know how they'll pan out (mid round 1st and Faber) or and established goal scorer in the NHL in DeBrusk who as I mentioned you have full control over.

Miller doesnt want to sign in VAN and hes considered a rental now. Canucks lost a lot of the leverage they once had.

The Wild got a top 20 pick and a good RD prospect. Your trade is a 7th round pick from 2017, a 40 point winger and a late 3rd. How is this anywhere close to fair value

How do you really think this is better than the Fiala return??? A middle 6 winger and two pieces of little value is not better than a 1st round pick and really good RHD prospect

Hold up, Miller does want to sign in Vancouver and Vancouver would love to have Miller back. But at the same time, the Canucks realize that they could be in a better position to win if they move Miller and get assets back for him. The Canucks don't have to trade Miller. They still have a lot of leverage in that regard.

Right because a 40-50 point 3rd liner is just what Vancouver needs. Maybe consider what Vancouver actually needs before you make ignorant comments
