Description

Those trades could also involve draft picks from 2022 day 2.
Stock up on draft picks and tank for Bedard/Mitchkov/Fantinilli
The Anderson and Petry trades are based on reports of those teams being interested in those players and they are gonna fetch an overpay.
Anderson value FOR THE GMS is a 1st+ an pulju's value is a 2nd-3rd
Petry would fetch a 1st from Dallas but add more (maybe one of the late 1st instead of 2nd) to get that skilled winger for Dach.
Barrie fills in while Barron, Harris, Norlinder, Mailloux develop
Allen could fetch a late 1st if teams are desperate for goaltending
Give Slaf a year in the AHL

Roope Hintz is a young 1C and is already a star, he just plays on a more quiet market. His value is on par with Suzuki's.

i know jim nill isn't on ACGM but i can almost guarantee he won't be trading Hintz for Petry+future picks. That roster is built to win NOW so they're trading futures if they're acquiring Petry, not current roster players and certainly not guys that just scored 37 goals for them last season.

That Dallas trade is the worst non-troll trade attempt I've ever seen.

It's on par with DAL offering Suter+Khudobin+two seconds for Suzuki.

We found out yesterday that Petry wasn't worth a first rd pick. Your sure as hell not getting Hintz who has way more value than a first.

Puljujarvi and Anderson have similar production while puljujarvi is younger and likely will end up with a better contract. I can’t see why Edmonton would add a 1st. One for one I could see as a possibility

Habs aren't trading Anderson at this point, I think that Hughes has 0 interest in moving him, nor is it a good move to trade him
