Leafs fan ACGM post starter pack

Created by: Juiceman
Team: 2022-23 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 15, 2022
Published: Jul. 15, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
What a typical Leafs ACGM will consist of

Alex Kerfoot:
Will be either traded to a non-contender for a high round pick despite that team not needing a rental

Or

Traded in a package to Vancouver to get 99 point Miller

Justin Holl:
Same thing, either traded to a team who doesn’t need him

Or

Packaged in a deal to get a far superior player

Nicholas Robertson:
Former 18 year old Robertson is certainly a “very attractive” piece as he was once 18 years old. Usually packaged with Kerfoot in order to acquire a far superior player

Jake Muzzin
Often traded to a team who doesn’t need him, doesn’t have the cap space for him. Most notably, the LA Kings

Thoughts about this extremely realistic ACGM?

I say this with sympathy, Kase will look good for 15-20 games… and he will break in half and go on IR

Tbh I know he is injury prone but I think he is good for at least half the season. I’d say maybe even 3/4 if we are lucky. Canes will have depth so it’s not the worst thing in the world.

I enjoy this sub conversation happening within the rest of this thread. A short break from all the nonsense that one Leafs fan is spewing

I’m stealing these factoids

I'm having the time of my life talking to guys I respect and having fun -- in case you couldn't figure it out, I'm not on FaceSchnook or Tweeter. CapFriendly is my only social media outlet. That's why I enjoy the intellectual insight of the knowledgeable and react so badly to the nonsense of the ignorami.

There is a reason that Anaheim, Boston and now Toronto have let him walk.........He needs to retire as his long-term health is more important.

I like Dubas because he is not part of the NHL Oldboys Club like the majority of the rest of the GM's in the NHL and actually earned his GM Job based on merit and not because of who he knows or played with in the NHL.

He is miles ahead of most GM's in the NHL but has also been learning on the job......but the cream comes to the top eventually and that is where he is headed.

How many first round exits is it going to take for you to change your opinion?

The Leafs deserved to lose to Washington and Boston.

Columbus and Montreal were screw ups and Tampa was just a tough series loss against a great team.

The Leafs time is comming......do not really care about the past.

I’m sure they will find success eventually but Dubas has had chance after chance after chance. The Leafs need to address goaltending and defense and they go ahead and pickup 2 reclamation projects for goal

Hockey unites generations. This man has grandkids where as I am here young enough to be one of them. It shows that hockey unites people. In the end there is a level of base respect for every fan of hockey even the leafs fans like this. This is what u love about the community, while we may not always agree, we always have that shared love for hockey making us a part of that community. This is why it is the best sport in the world.

Yeah, it's kind of weird how Canada is laid out with time zones.

The center of the universe...(cough Toronto cough)...and Quebec is 3 hours different.

Newfoundland and Labrador on the other side of New Brunswick are 1 1/2 hours past that...not 2 hours....BUT Crosby played his Junior hockey just north of New Brunswick and when he crossed the border north (not west) into Quebec he would instantly lose an hour.

For those not familiar with the East Coast of Canada, Labrador is basically northeast of Quebec and touches Quebec but when you cross that border going south (not west) you lose 1 1/2 hours instantly. Go Canada!! smile Awww...it's 1:04 am. Leaving for real now.

Hah! I'm 74 and @palhal is in his 60's, as is my good friend and Ranger adherent @gdli, who is younger but pre-dates me in hockey fandom by at least a decade.

In my experience, the more a fan loves hockey, the less of a "homer" he becomes. For example, I was THRILLED to see former Ducks Andrew Cogliano and Josh Manson win a Stanley Cup this year. Which isn't a comment about me, but about their long devotion to a wonderful game. I even appreciated Kurtis MacDermid reaching the pinnacle, too.
