Not even close. Though I think Girard may hold the key to any deal for Miller to Colorado. He doesn't fit our team directly but the assets from dealing him or a three way trade could work.

If Kadri doesn't sign, Miller to Col does make a some sense.

Yeah, the ask for JTM gets pretty silly. I mean, he is a great player but most of these fans are like, "If you don't offer two 1sts, Byram and Newhook, they just hang up the phone." I actually wouldn't be terribly surprised if JTM stays in VAN, especially if they make the playoffs; Canucks would just let Horvat walk in that case but they'd end up with the better player.

Problem is the Canucks' Top-9 is already pretty set, even without Miller.

Byram Newhook and a first is not the same has Compher Kaur and a first. Since when is it unreasonable to want valuable assets for their valuable players. A couple third liners for Miller is not exactly fair

Compher is fine for the 3rd line and the 1st is good but Vancouver would want a good defensive prospect or a good young defenseman preferably right handed

It's the dismissiveness that people come back with. Just say, "We need a better piece coming back. How about Newhook, a 1st and JTC?" or, "We actually need D so how about Girard, a 1st and JTC?" If you're going to reject the proposal, say why and what it would take to make the trade happen.

No I don't think he moves the needle. We need a RD with top 4 upside or a very good prospect, 1st round pick. B level prospects aren't gonna do much, certainly not to build the trade around.

Would have had huge interest in Helleson or Baron though. Can't argue with how Burnaby Joe spent those assets though.

Sorry for sounding rude, I’ve just seen a lot of unrealistic trades in my time here, and whenever I suggest a different trade proposal, the OP pretty much always says “that player is untouchable”, or “you’re wrong, X player is overrated”. I said what I said to make the OP think about the trade and see if it is fair if I made an example from their POV
