Swap Reilly Walsh with Jesper Bratt, take out the 2nd & 5th pick and that's a fair deal on both sides.

J.Bratt, K.Bahl, A.Holtz & NJD '23 1st round pick to CGY

M.Tkachuk to NJD (resigned for 8x9.5M$)

[Even though I think NJ would be best serve parting ways with Shakur since they're deep on RD (that is if they resign Severson, of course!)

They already refused Kyrou, Krug & a first WITHOUT an extension being agreed upon beforehand...Kyrou alone is worth Bratt, Bahl & a first.

It's important not to overvalue players in your own team and keep a clear head. Tkachuk is a Unicorn in the NHL. What he brings to the table is unrivalled. Elite star talent + intense grit and leadership. Keep that in mind when you'll see the eventual return.

Eichel (with a 3rd) only netted Tuch, Krebs, a first & conditional second

Tuch (at that time) pretty much equals Bratt's (at the moment) value. [Tuch NOW is worth more than Bratt NOW]

Krebs > Holtz

1st round pick = 1st round pick

2nd round pick pretty much equals Bahl's value

How many "Eichel type" player there is in the NHL? Not 80, of course, but still, certainly 20 at the least...now do M.Tkachuk...that explains why my proposal is spot on in terms of value and it might be more than that, in reality.

We'll see very soon!

Yes they are and more than those only two...as if they were SO untouchable lol! Give me a break! Bratt already has a foot in the door anyway. He's very good, but come on now...you're talking about getting one of the most unique player in the NHL. Nobody cares if you hate the guy because you don't like the way he plays...that's a fact and everyone in the know understands that fact. Lots of fans seems to miss that and it's sad, really

I can't wait to say I told you so, If Calgary wants Holtz, Bratt, a 1st and something else, if I'm Fitzgerald I say that I'm not interested.

You underrate Bratt imo. Points wise almost identical season to Kyrou playing in much worse team. I think he's equal to Kyrou and upgrade over Tuch.

Then, you're overvaluing your players and don't know enough/haven't watch enough Matthew Tkachuk games. That is as simple as that. It's alright to be wrong, you know? A prospect, even an A level prospect, is still a risk whether you want to or not, since there is absolutely no guarantees that he'll develop as promised. Holtz is a good prospect, but he ain't a top 10 NHL prospect, not even top15. Nemec is higher than he is on his own team's prospect list...

WOW! Kyrou is a superb two way player and top5 speedster in the world! He'll command a higher $ number than R.Thomas, which will be way more than Bratt will get (he should get around 6.5M$ TOP)...do you think it's because the entire league undervalue him or because YOU overvalue him?? GMs, player agents, arbiter : they'll give him 2M$ a year less than Kyrou because they all can't properly evaluate the player, but YOU can, right?

That offer was reported as never being made, so wrong there.

Krebs was the 17th pick, Holtz was 7th. Not entirely even. Holtz is the better prospect.

Vegas top 10 protected first in 2022 =/= Devils unprotected 1st round pick in 2023.

The Tuch take is just hilarious. Tuch coming off 33 points in 55 games for Vegas equals Bratt's value now? Then this year 38 points in 50 games is MORE valuable than Bratt's 73 points in 76 games? Tuch is 3 years older and 2 years older than Bratt when he was traded. Just a laughably awful take.

No, I only think only you undervalue him. Also that Tuch take is laughably bad.

Saying Bratt is about as good as Kyrou is not taking anything away from Kyrou, but you made it sound like some kind of personal insult.

I'm not a Calgary or New Jersey fan, and I think Holtz, Bratt, and 1st is probably too much, especially with New Jersey having made the playoffs only once in the past 10 years.

I think they either need to come down a bit on the prospect (Stillman maybe), or on the player (Sharangovich maybe). But asking for the team's best prospect and best player, along with a (likely early) 1st round pick is too much.

Disclaimer: I'm a Kings fan and have seen plenty of Tkachuk games. I'm sad to see the Tkachuk/Doughty rivalry come to an end.

Oh! And yeah, before you come back at me, he's 15th on that list but I personally have Marco Rossi (17th) ahead of him. Still, my original point stands 100%.

You said not even top 15 prospect then link me a ranking where he is number 15. Are you right in the head? And I don't care about your own opinion. Ranked 15th by TSN, 7th by the Hockey Writers. You can't just use TSN's rankings and disregard another rankings list. He's rated as the 7th best prospect by The Hockey Writers. He's a top prospect.

Look.... you were right how much it cost for Tkachuk. But I'm glad we missed out, would've started with 1 of Hughes or Hischier.

To be totally honest, I think FLA overpayed dearly! WOW! Huberdeau for Tkachuk 1V1 alone would have made me pause a long freakin' while (if I were FLA's GM)....I get that Weegar and Hubby are on an expiring contract, but still! MAN!

WHAT.AN.OVERPAY!
