CBJ decline, we need Gavrikov unless we upgrade on him. If you want Nyquist instead of Zucker, we can talk.

Papa Russian Gavy is too important to the care and livelihood of his Russian children in Columbus. You can't have him.

Good to know haha. Didn’t realize Gavrikov had such an important role with CBJ. Thanks for the insight

I think CBJ says no but if it were me id ship him off for the bruins second and Min 3rd. I feel like people overlook how much of a liability he was last season for us. A lot of jackets fans (including myself at times) blamed our defensive woes on a young defensive core but Gavrikov had a pretty bad season and I think people are overlooking that because hes a fan favorite and seems to be a tremendous locker room guy.

You're very far off if you think Gavy was a liability. His stats show that he still managed to record an above average defensive WAR rating while being paired with some of the worst defensive players in the league statistically. Gavy also became one of the best 5v5 offensive WAR defensemen in the league last year. He's worth a hell of a lot more than a 2nd and 3rd, especially to the Jackets.

I doubt Ron Hextall does, but the Pittsburgh Penguins fanbase says yes.

Personally i dont pay attention to WAR ratings. There are a lot of things WAR ratings dont take into account. I just dont think Gavrikov has the hockey IQ to be a top 4 defenseman. I see WAR as a glorified +/- stat

I like all of your moves, but it's time to start accumulating 2024 second-rounders.
