Obviously not gonna happen but that 2nd line is nasty, love it.

This team is legitimately unreal.

I love Meier, and the assets going back are not terrible, but there is no way San Jose is retaining Salary when they have that much dead cap space.

Could ditch the subban signing and then sharks only retain 1,000,000 may be more palatable

I would ditch Kadri and Subban altogether. Kadri will be dead cap space and Subban isn't likely to sign here for that low. Not to mention, Kadri would prevent us from resigning players going forward. Meier and Konecny are great additions.

I would kill to have Meier on this team. Huberdeau-Lindholm-Meier would be as close as you could possibly get to last year’s top line lol. Also if we somehow wound up with this roster, even if it cost us more firsts or whatever, idk how we don’t just win the cup. Coleman-Backlund-Toffoli would be an above average 2nd line, insane defensively. You could even run Huberdeau-Lindholm-Meier for the classic playmaker/2-way/power forward, then Toffoli-Kadri-Konecny for the sheltered offensive line that doesn’t even need to be sheltered, and then have last year’s Coleman-Backlund-Mangiapane line that was so effective together be the shutdown line. And a top 4 consisting of 4 guys you’d be comfortable playing 22+ minutes per night, and lots of teams would be fine with having on their top pair lol

Maybe change that to a 2023 1st and drop all retention. Taking Monahans contract back is pain enough even tho it's 1 yr. He probably says no to SJ anyway.

Not sure PHI does it, Koneckny scored 50+ pts without linemates as his 1C was injured all year, while the 2C, 2LW and Giroux all missed 20+ games, the entire team couldnt score and the coaches came and went.

Valimaki got sent down for a reason (PHI already has LD Provorov, Sanheim, Cam York and a ton of LD prospects) and Dube, while good, is not a top 6 forward.
