I can’t see the Canes doing that. Girard would be a great fit on the Canes blue line, but I can’t see Girard wanting to play 3rd pairing minutes. Not to mention, 5mil for someone to play on the third pairing, that’s a bit much. Tampa was able to get away with it with Sergachev, but that also affected their scoring depth. I can’t see the Canes going down that road as well.

He has very poor underlying numbers even on one of the best statistical teams in the league. Hes very overrated imo
