Pilut is as NHL-ready as Moverare, and less than Bjornfot.

The Kings want a top-4 left shot defenseman. Grans is a solid 2nd year pro who will fight Spence as the next man up.

Don't see anything here for the Kings worth while.

As a Leafs fan, this is one of the better trades I've seen for both sides.

Pilut gets you nobody in the Kings RD pipeline. We aren't interested in a sub 6', 26 year old who will be UFA at the end of the season, who has less than 50 games of NHL experience. I respect the try though.

Pilut is coming off of a down year in the KHL so his value is pretty low right now. I'm not even convinced he's a lock to make the sabres lineup as he is still waiver eligible. Better to hang onto him right now and let him work his way back.

Maybe Johnson would make more sense than Pilut.

Pilut turns 27 before the halfway point in the season, and has all of 4 games' experience in the NHL, so his time has come and gone. I can't see us investing even late draft picks like Otto Salin or Jack Sparkes in him.
