I highly doubt Oettinger is going to get 6.5m a year, he's more in the 4-5.5 range. Stars signed Marchment to be in their top 6, so switch him and Benn. Also if the Stars were able to clear all that cap, I don't think they would use it to sign two 36+ year old 4th liners and trade for Andreas Johnsson, they would definitely have their sights set higher.

Oettinger should get 2 and 6 or 3 and 9. Great post season, but he has no arbitration rights. Robertson may need to be bridged too just because of the Seguin and Benn contracts.

So by not good or bad you've decided to make them worse?

Haven’t seen Peg in the cup finals lately. Nobody is taking Faksa. Benn and Segs’ contracts suck but there’s a lot of good young talent coming. DeBoer is a massive upgrade on Bowness (speaking of Peg, y’all enjoy him). Do I think we’re Colorado 2.0? Absolutely not. But I should be able to watch a competitive team for quite a long time as long as Nill doesn’t piss away prospects

I’d rather have Glendening than Gardiner.

If the Stars could've signed Otter to a 3m per year deal then he'd be signed by now. Problem is that there are no exact comparables, Hart and Demko are the closest but both of their situations have differences from Otter's. Robo bridge for 3 years would be good, but also hope that they are able to lock him up long term now so that way they can save money in the future.
