THere is no team in the league that can take on Seguin for the next 5 years without:
1) 50% retention
2) at least 1 first rounder coming back
3) a top end defensvie prospect / player coming back to make up for his horrible own end play

DAL would be better off buying him out, but that would be painful

No benefit to buying Seguin out because the cap hit is silly for the next 5 seasons.

I agree that no team is in a position to take Seguin's contract, but Dallas would absolutely not be better buying him out. Both his contract and Benn's contract are essentially buyout proof. The best course of action for Dallas is to simply hold on to their contracts until they expire.

I do definitely agree with you. But it's going to be a painful process, esp with Seguin eating into their available salary to give their entry level contracts raises. They need to get Robertson locked up
