Call me crazy, but looking at CBJ's roster, I don't think adding extra scoring is what they need this season. Laine was a PPG player last season when he was healthy; Voracek had 62 pts in 79 GP, Nyquist had 18-35-53 in 82, Boone Jenner had 23-21-44 in 59 GP, Jack Roslovic had 22-23-45 in 81 GP (and he's a 4th liner here!) Oh, and they added a friggin' 114 point player in Johnny Gaudreau. Add in the assumed progression from your teenagers Sillinger & Johnson, and Patrick Kane is a little bit of a hat on a hat here.

If they're sending out premium assets, they should be looking to upgrade either their goaltending situation or shoring up the bottom of their D. I think they've got three solid D in Werenski/Boqvist/Gavrikov, I think they're stuck with Gudbranson, but I think you could consider upgrading Jake Bean and maybe even Andrew Peeke. The team is going to score a ton of goals (they were 14th in the league last year and that's before they added Gaudreau), but they need to get better at stopping them (28th of 32 last year with 300 allowed).
