Yeah I hear you. Morrow isn't my first choice for a RHD to build around anyway.

Canes definitely pass. Morrow is stud and exactly the type of defenseman you can build around.

Habs have too many Centers and LHD prospects and not many RHD prospects.

Carolina also doesn't have a deep RHD pipeline and has Center depth which I think is why the Carolina fans are saying they pass. Morrow is more or less their top prospect.

The first part of your statement is just completely false. The Canes RHD prospect pool has become very deep. That being said, if you made that statement 2 years ago, I would have agreed with you. As for the Canes Center prospects, they have way too many. C is not a need and won’t be for quite a while. Morrow is our best d prospect, so they won’t consider trading him unless they are getting a guaranteed superstar.

FYI - It's not about the player so much as where he is in his development. Habs could use a player who is ready now rather than in 2 years.
