Only way it's worth trading Garland for Risto for Vancouver is if Myers/OEL is going the other way, and Vancouver gets a young promising player that they can use (like a RHD) even if it means they need to add some.

Maybe Cam York works if they just put OEL on the right side

Garland+Rathbone+OEL for Ristolainen+York.

Better yet, add Provorov and Myers too:
Garland+Rathbone+OEL+Myers for Ristolainen+York+Provorov

I don't know enough about the players involved in those other three trades to opine intelligently but I cannot remember seeing a worse trade for the Vancouver Canucks proposed on CapFriendly than that Philly deal. Rathbone for Ristolainen would be a mistake, but Garland for Risto is an outrage.
