Description
I don't expect this to happen, nor do I want this to happen. This is just a, "what if?" scenario.

Some low depth guys stay for AHL depth, others get shipped out as well.

I am prepared to be flamed.

You can get significantly more for Carlo than that

Boston doesn't have the kinda prospect pool that gets them both chychrun and Kane. Lysell is their only really intriguing prospect

Mason lohrei is up there too. Beyond that, not much.

I guess lysell, a first and second for Kane. Lorhei and 2 firsts for chychrun. But a team 1 season away from going into a rebuild should not be trading all those futures.

I understand it safe to say this season their last hoorah, but trading your 1st left and right not smart (and blues dont have space for carlo).

Chicago passes, They will get way better than that for Kane.

Outside of Lysell i's not a very intriguing package for Jakob Chychrun.

And Carlo should get back at least a 2nd round pick. the 4th and 5th are pretty bad.

It’s been illegal to sell people in the USA since 1865. Do better.

Oh I’m so going to get an infraction point for this.

Not really. We already have Parayko and Faulk on the right side. Unless Carlos can play on the left side well we don't need him. Having him play on the 3rd pair is bad way to use our limited cap space

Precisely the point. 4 mill on the third pair doesn’t kill ya.

You think Bergeron and krejci are gonna just keep signing cheap 1 year deals until they're 60?

For our cap it does. We already have Parayko, Krug, and Faulk making 6.5 mil and Leddy at 4 mil. It makes zero sense for us. 4 mil for a defensemen we would use on the 3rd pair is a waste of cap space

No, but their best player is 24. Their goalie is still on his ELC. They’ve got some younger wingers. I think a little re-tool is needed to find a younger center or two - probably one via trade or draft and one via FA.

Goalie on elc and top 2 centers are making 3.5 mil yet they're still in cap hell. They're not getting 2 top line centers for 3.5 next year and they also have to pay pasta. It's gonna be an interesting offseason for the Bruins

I think there’s a pretty good chance one or both of krejci and bergeron return next year.
I don’t really see the cap hell.
I said re-tool. I didn’t say they were just going to be fine.

You think Pasta and McAvoy along with a lot of other really good pieces aren't good building blocks for the future?

You said it yourself "building blocks for the future" sounds like there's about to be a rebuild. And pasta isn't even signed yet.
Right now it looks like they have about 30 mil in cap space next season. Sign pasta and that's more like 20. Sign a first line center and you're down to 10-12 mil. 2nd line center down to 5-6 mil. 2nd line winger and you're out of money with a ton of holes in the bottom 6 and with swayman not signed.
