That's an overpay for Horvat.

NJ trade is absolutely ridiculous

I'd rather get rid of him and get the capspace.

There was an Ottawa fan that posted on here earlier saying they'd like to keep Pinto at 3C because that line has been so effective.

1st and a good prospect is pretty standard price for a top 6 rental C.

NJ trade is maybe ridiculous maybe not. Depending how much they value Holtz and how much they value solving their problem in net.

They had this whole Pinto Brassard Horvat conversation on the other post so I will leave it there. It's one of the Ottawa ACGM if you want to go find it.

That's why I have it protected. Could be top 10 protected instead.

idc about it being top 5 protected the sens arent finishin bottom 5, central scouting had 20 something A-rated prospects for this year on their preliminary rankings which is why were not moving the 2023 first at all for a rental stop gap, the draft is deep. A team who would re-sign horvat maybe but thats not the sens

Fair enough. I don't expect them to have interest in Horvat anyways so any deal is pretty unlikely.

On another note. Do you think they would trade jbd and if so anyone on the Canucks that might interest them?

honestly not really, the sens only real hole when healthy is RD but its the same for the canucks. I like schenn but hes not worth moving JBD for

Dallas has $150K in cap space with a 22-man roster. Finding an extra $1M for Garland without dropping down to a 21-man roster isn't going to happen.

Ya you're right. Canucks would have to take khudobin in the deal.

Ottawa can't spend that much on a rental and they can't afford an extension for Horvat

They'll also need JBD in the near future. Doubt they'll trade him. Objective is probably to pair him with Sanderson later this season

Chabot - Zub
Sanderson - JBD
Brannstrom - Holden/Hamonic
