If the Habs ever have PLD in their line up it's likely from a UFA signing, not a trade.

There is no chance the Jets trade Dubois for a lowball offer that includes Winnipeg taking back a long term cap dump and an overpaid bottom sixer.

No chance Winnipeg moves 3 years of a good top 4 defenseman for a long term cap dump and a disappointing player.

Severson would be alright, but as a rental isn't worth that much to Winnipeg.

If the jets are out of the running come playoff time they should make PLD one more offer and if he declines then deal him to the highest bidder. His value for the rest of the year plus playoffs and one more year of team control would be worth a 1st, prospect and other futures.
Trading him to MTL now for any deal that involves Anderson is dumb...that contract is not aging well. I like Dvorak, but maybe the jets can trade for him in a different deal.
