If someone smarter than me could explain why we are trading our best RHD prospect for another forward, that'd be great

1) He's just a prospect 2) Studnicka is going to bring that winning energy from Boston to Vancouver, doesn't matter that he only played like a game.

In all seriousness though, maybe they have a trade in the works for a young RHD.

I would wonder if studs and dipietro will be part of other trades to come

I think DiPietro was just included since he wanted to be moved I think and so that Vancouver is shedding a contract (edit: just saw the DiPietro is unsigned). It does perhaps allow for the Bruins to move on from one of their NHL goalies if they wanted to, if he's close to being NHL ready. I like Swayman and Ullmark's win celly, so hope it doesn;t happen.

It’ll make more sense when they trade Horvat for a RHD

The acquisition of DiPietro is weird from the Bruins perspective too. They already have two goalies in the AHL and a third one in the ECHL so I'm not sure where he fits.

Studnicka is a good player. This was a win for Vancouver. I bet Sweeney regretted it three minutes later when krejci took a stick to the head and went off wobbly

Studnicka could also be part of a larger plan eg. a trade for Matt Dumba or Damon Severson to fix the d-core. I mean, on paper it's not terrible but it definitely hasn't been showing up for us. Hughes has looked good, but he's on IR, Schenn is pretty good, I'd want him to stick around on a line w/ Hughes. Severson/Dumba would hopefully help out OEL.
