this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Signing players like Shattenkirk doesn't make sense because you have to pay Mcdavid next year. Plus Draistatl is going to cost ALOT MORE than 6 mil lol. especially for a 8 year contract. No way his agent and him agree to that. And that Matthews trade is nuts. Not even close. Even if Toronto was drugged and accepted that trade, you would then have no money to pay both Matthews and Mcdavid

Last year his production was better but I doubt it will be for long. And, imagine what their respective points totals would be if their roles had been reversed: Matthews on McDavid's wing vs Draisaitl playing with Hyman and Brown...

Don't want Matthews. He's an elite centre but with McDavid and Draisaitl needing new deals theres no way to fit them all under the cap.

The deal would be a lot easier for the Leafs to accept if Eberle was left out of the deal. 20 goals for 6m. Three of the Leafs RWers have as many goals as Eberle.
