-Both sides decline this. Calgary is planning on contending this year and I can't see them subtracting from one of their biggest strengths without being blown away. Sandin has great upside, sure, but it's not worth messing with what's working for the Flames. I'm also confused - you say down thread that Toronto's issue is a surplus of LHD and not enough RHD, and you just swap out one for another? Why wouldn't you deal from surplus to fill a need and send Sandin out for someone who can play the right side?
-This doesn't make a ton of sense for me on the Wild's end - they're in a bad cap situation because of the Parise/Suter buyouts, and I think it makes more sense for them to keep a 30 goal scorer making $1.7M (Hartman) and part of what I'd consider their identity/energy line(Greenway). They're taking on $2.2M extra AAV here and turning 2 top-9 forwards into one - even if Nylander is the best player in the deal, I don't think it's a move I can see the Wild making.
-Why would Nashville do this? They literally just signed Niederreiter to a 2x$4M deal this summer and he's got 5 goals in his first 10 games. I'd have to think they're incredibly happy with that deal so far even if they've struggled out of the gate so far.
-I don't see enough here for Seattle to give up a top-4 Dman (also fwiw, another LHD). Holl & Engvall are both pending UFAs that don't profile as long-term pieces for that team. Robertson is an okay prospect, but a 4th rounder isn't enough for them to give up Oleksiak in this deal - this is a classic quantity over quality deal.
