Sabres probably wouldn’t trade Savoie straight up for Horvat lol. He just doesn’t fill a need.

Buffalo, easily. They dont need Horvat. not saying it wouldnt be nice, but theyre not desperate so they're not going to be wasting assets, makes no sense for them

A center spine of thompson horvat cozens would certainly fill a need. have you watched horvat play this year?

Not sure how a top center who has 12 goals in 13 games this year wouldnt fill a need. They still have plenty in the pipeline. I am basing this off of the eichel trade. They arent taking anything less than a top prospect

I think Thompson and Cozens are fine in the center (not Dylan yesterday), also I really appreciate the Savoie, I think he has a huge offensive potential, probably the highest potential of all our forward prospects. I would rather find some 3C who is good in defense and can play a physical game. Maybe Barbashev or someone like him.

He’s expiring and 27 years old. Team needs defensive help way more than they need center help tho.

The Sabres had 1 game where they struggled to produce, other then that they've produced well, or struggled to get out of the D zone. Like I said itd be nice, but its far from a need. They can afford to give Savoie a few years to end up being a producer for them and they can use Mitts and a 1st to get a dman

No I don't think so, but I wouldn't trade Savoie, I value him too much, we also have other prospects and young players to trade.

Dont get me wrong, I believe savoie is our best prospect, but I dont think vancouver is accepting anything less. There is already a log jam upfront and it doesnt seem like donny or kevyn want to give the opportunities to the young guys like quinn as opposed to guys like mitts and olofsson. Makes me worried for savoie next year that he may be placed on a line with girg and okposo although i am hoping both are gone.

Hence the 8 year deal in place. He isnt coming to buff in ufa especially when the team misses the playoffs again this year

Yeah due to injuries, once sammy gets back it will be better. Although I would like to see power get a better partner but who exactly is available?

Where does he fit on the team in two years? Im genuinely curious because i do think hes great but is he better than thompson or cozens? doubt it, does he fit a 3rd line mold? i dont think so

I still don't understand why Quinn is in Granato's doghouse, but I hope he knows what he's doing. In any case, I'm not obsessed with Horvat, he hasn't always been so productive, that's also suspicious, he's a good 2C, but this is not a need that we definitely need now and probably in the future. I don't want to trade Savoie at all, it's my favorite prospect. We need to find a top 4 RD and a couple of forwards who play physical game or play very competitive.

Cozens fits a 3rd line center mold, even if hes putting up 60 points, the Sabres top 3 lines all average about the same amount of time too, so at that point it doesnt matter which line theyre on, just line matching opponents

I don't see Buffalo rushing to finish the rebuild by making this trade. Canucks would be glad to accept though

I have no interest in trading a high end prospect AND a top 15 pick in a loaded draft for the right to give Bo Horvat an 8 year deal as he exits his prime.

Good lord
