edmoundson would be something but I can't see jensen or Broissoit again as an option. Edmonton elected just to play talbot in all the games except back to backs when broissoit was here last time.

I wanted to Balance it with people who could play tough solid D but then also have puck-movers to chip in offensively. I prefer to have 3 good D-pairs then 1 great one & 2 meh ones

So now you need to pay for Edmundson, and Ben Chiarot return is the best comparable for a price to pay

I have to disagree, yes Barrie is a cap dump but he is a Cap dump that can still produce, Most i can see Edmundson getting is a 2nd he isn’t at a point where Montreal can ask for the 1st rounder especially with him coming off an Injury earlier this season, If he continues his decent play or even improves i can see the 1st Rounder potentially getting there still i think that us unlikely but then again it’s not impossible

I don't think edmundson is as good as chiarot. The Josh manson trade would be more comparable.

I would say Edmundson have played better than Chiarot here in MTL, but Chiarot have played more minutes against better competition
Josh Manson was a rental tho, Edmundson has another year left on his current deal
But a good prospect + 2nd round pick is pretty close to a single 1st round pick
I would live with a good prospect + 2nd for Edmundson tho

that would be a fair offer i think, For MTL its about whether they want to sell low on edmundson to clear that d spot on the left or do you hold on and let his value (hopefully) rise to a 1st plus after he has strung 30-40 games together.

Barrie is a cap dump? He's on pace to score 60+ points this season and has posted a positive GF% Rel in 9 of 10 most recent seasons. At just $4.5M he's a steal.

That's perfectly fine if Washington sucks come deadline time. Not the biggest fan of Lavoie but he's at a position of organizational need so I'd be fine with it if I'm MacLellan, not whole lot else I like from Edmonton.

That is not a steal, cause he is a defensive liability, He produces well but the main purpose of a D-man is he can play defence, sadly Barrie can’t

EDM doesnt have solid prospects, it's either blue chip prospect (Holloway,Broberg) or top prospect (Schaefer, Bourgault) and I have no interest in Savoie & Lavoie
So it would be one of Schaefer or Bourgault and drop the pick

When did GF% explain anything about defence especially for a guy getting 3rd pair minutes besides the PP
