These trades are all awful for Columbus except the horvat one which Van easily declines

All are expiring contracts. The idea is to shed those contracts and receive something in return. I think market for TDL will be lower than normal with many teams looking to shed.

I’m not a CBJ fan, so I am Curious to know what fans think would be reasonable returns

I guess Korpisalo could be mildly interesting in a backup capacity if there was another injury for the Devils goalies but I wouldn't expect it to require more than a mid rd pick to acquire him.
Gavrikov does close to nothing for the Devils, he's by all accounts been absolutely dreadful this season and would unlikely be an upgrade on either Smith or Bahl for that 3LHD spot.
In any case, there's no reason for the Devils to give up Boqvist here in my opinion.

He would be a great third pair guy on a cup team. Would for sure be playing for the devils. But should fetch a late first at the TDL as he will be one of the top dmen on the market.

Gavrikov?
I cannot see a man putting up 40% corsi share and 34.1% xG share getting anywhere close to a first (or anything at all really), let alone even touching the ice surface for a playoff-bound team.
Again, by all accounts Gavrikov is playing terrible hockey right now and I cannot see how he'd push either Smith or Bahl out of the lineup.

Nyquist with half retained is worth a late second round pick and a sweetener. But his value fluctuates around here.

Peeke is pretty much untouchable right now since he just signed an extension and is one of three healthy NHL starters on the team in the d-corps, but his value would be inflated due to being a top 4 RHD. He's been shopped by most non-Jackets fans around here for stuff like this year's third and a middle/bottom 6 center/cap dump player.

Korpisalo is an absurd case. After last years' hip surgery, he looks like the old Korpisalo in the limited action he's seen so far. He's traded straight up for a 5th, but I think he garners much higher favor with other GM's by the TDL if he stays this course.

Gavrikov is the big sell for the Jackets this year if he can't get the extension. He's highly valued mostly because he's a bargain deal for his cap hit. Incredibly underrated by non-Jackets fans, but undeniably a very good shutdown LHD. The bidding war will probably end around a late first rounder, a late third rounder, and a decent to good prospect.

Roslovic may need a change of scenery, but he's shown in the past that he could make a push for a #1 Center spot if he gets his consistency problem in check. Not sure what to value him at, but I would ask for a 2nd rounder next year.

Marcus Bjork literally played his first NHL game this week and just signed to play in North America over the summer. I don't think anyone has a real value for that guy yet, but hey he's a goal a game d-man so far so you should buy high on him.

Sean Kuraly is going nowhere unless it's an over pay. He's been one of the more consistently decent/good players on this team. If Kuraly and Roslovic both go I don't know how this team replaces their boring commercials every commercial break about local hockey. With all that said, I have no idea how to value him. A couple mid round picks possibly?

It's hard to have great stats when your d partner is Gudbranson. This whole defense has **** the bed so bad this year I'm surprised Werenski's were decent before he went down. His stats don't look great, advanced or otherwise, but Gavrikov has been the only consistent bright spot in that defense. His value is actually still quite high mostly based on his 2.8 million cap hit in comparison to the other options out there.

Corsi is awful at evaluating individual players on bad teams. Jackets get out shot every game so of course he will have bad numbers. I’m not here to debate whether he is a good defenseman he has already proven that. It’s not really worth discussing cause jarmo wouldn’t trade him for scraps and I don’t think the devils will be trading their first this year unless it’s lottery protected

Thing is Gavrikov's Corsi and xG relative to teammates are even worse, at least 5v5.
Unless he's facing waaay tougher deployment on average than the rest of the team Gavrikov is part of the problem in Columbus.

I get why you are only focused on numbers because that’s what the devils front office is focused on but they aren’t the end all be all. Anyone who has watched the jackets knows he’s far from the problem. The jackets have been badly injured and suck on top of having one of the most difficult schedules so far. Gavrikov is the type of players teams want for the playoffs when being physical matters more than corsi or possession metrics.

Starting 77.1% of his shifts in the defensive zone is probably the biggest issue. The other issue is Corsi value is all about possession value and nobody should completely value a shutdown d-man on a bad team on possession. They spend most of their time stopping shots instead of taking them.

If you care more about Corsi, may I offer you Jake Bean?

I wanna say you’re crazy for thinking Gavrikov will return a 1st, 3rd AND a decent/good prospect because that would be a HAUL for a rental non-star player unless there’s an extension but this is the same league that gave up a 1st rounder for a rental Chiarot last year so I’ll reserve my judgement

TBH, if a first is involved I highly doubt it's this year's. Gavrikov may not be a star but he's a top line shutdown LHD on any team that needs one. He and his $2.8 cap hit will be highly coveted by the TDL with the way defensemen are hitting the Injury Reports this year.

I believe Jarmo and Gavrikov will get a deal done and he's signed long term. He's probably untouchable unless a deal like what I mentioned is presented.
